Alice’s explorations begin in a present-day playground where Alice’s zest for adventure and excitement are strongly opposed by her sister Mathilda’s quest for literary knowledge. Mathilda’s ongoing lessons in history leave Alice bored and weary and she soon falls asleep. Alice begins to notice that things in the park do not appear as they should as she begins to enter the world of her imagination and her gradual descent into Wonderland.

 

The Cheshire Cat serves as Alice’s secret and cunning escort on her madcap adventures in Wonderland! The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit and falls down a Rabbit Hole, swims through an ocean of her own tears, wins a caucus race led by a Dodo Bird, gets tied up in knots with Tweedled Dee and Tweedle Dum and then gets shunned by a group of not-so-nice flowers. Alice enjoys a tea party with the Mad Hatter and March Hare and manages to outsmart the Queen, someone who is oddly familiar to her, at her own game of Simon Says. Alice’s ongoing quest to answer the question “Who Are You?” culminates in learning a valuable lesson about self-acceptance and happiness by our wise and charming Caterpillar.

 

Waking up back in the park, Alice excitedly relays her adventures to Mathilda. Curiously, she discovers the White Rabbit’s watch in her pocket and notices her imaginary wonderland escorts smiling at her. Alice, Mathilda, the Cheshire Cat and the Park Kids celebrate Alice’s newfound identity.
